Amazon has long been at the forefront of the chatter surrounding GTA 5 for PC, having hinted on more than one occasion that the PC port of the iconic title is pretty much ready to go. As such, it comes as no surprise to learn that yet another gamer has over the last few days contacted Amazon to ask about GTA 5, and ended up with a decidedly clearer response than they’d expected.
“Unfortunately we do not have an exact date for it to be in stock as of yet. You may think of to contact Rockstar for further information. We are expecting it next year by February, but no clear date is guaranteed for now,” stated Amazon, as first reported by WCCF Tech.
The latest apparently slip-up follows an ever-growing archive of leaked tidbits from Amazon, which have unanimously suggested that a Q1 launch of the game is a given. One previous example tipped the sought-after GTA 5 to launch toward the middle of March, which in any case means there at least isn’t long left to hold out.
Meanwhile, if you at least want to know you’ll be at the front of the queue when it does arrive, Amazon France is already taking pre-orders for the PC version of GTA 5, despite the fact that its price, system requirements, release date and even its existence haven’t been confirmed by Rockstar.
We’d advise caution on that one, but it’s still worth checking out.
